Teacher Angel's Belugas

Dear parents,

This is going to be my last blog before my pregnancy leave. Teacher Annie will take over the kangaroo class when I’m gone. I will surely be posting my son’s pictures as soon as I get a chance. I wish you all the best, and see you
in two months.

We finally look unified in our school uniforms for the very first time. The kids looked so cute with their uniforms, especially the younger ones. This field trip was a very unique experience for the teachers. The kids had a hand at all the activities. They learned to appreciate art features such as different angles or lighting that makes our vision of art complete different. At
the end of the visit, they made necklaces as a souvenir to bring home.
For phonics class, we worked on D-d duck, doctor, dice, and door. We also learned a new rhyme as follows:
*Downy Duck dived for his dinner.
*Downy Duck went deep, deep, deep, down.
*Poor Downy Duck dove and dove.
*So he left the other ducks and dug into the
ground.
* He dug and dug and dug till his dinner could be found.

For math class, we continuing working on “left to right” and review exercises. This concept is only easy for some kids; for others they were still a bit of confused from time to time. We will review it whenever we have another chance.

For social studies class this week, we started a new unit: “Hobbies”. What do you like to do with your free time? August likes to play with his toys in his free time. Jae and Erin like to ride their bikes in their free time.

For motor skills class this week, we learned about symmetry. The kids
had to try drawing the other half of a wing for a butterfly and the other half of a heart shape on their own. Regardless of the sizes, some of them were able to replicate the shapes well.
