March 27th

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to another instalment of the weekly Panda blog. This week in math class we finished the time clocks we started last week, and began reviewing telling time. In phonics we started learning about long O ( bone, phone, stone, home, etc...) In reading class we've been re-reading stories from the past month. In Tops we continued studying prepositions and locations in and around the house. In science we talked about living and non living thigs. In PE we exercised and stretched. And finally in ESL we did some work in the workbook. All in all it's been a productive week! Oh, I forgot to mention that on Tuesday we had the Tree House Reading contest. All the kids did an excellent job!

Serena read a really hard story on Tuesday. I was very impressed how well she did. I know it wasn't easy...way to go, Serena.

Bonnie did very well in the reading contest as well. She read the story " No, David!". It was a big hit with all the kids.

Aston has been doing very well recently. He's done great in math, and picked up telling time very quickly. He's also doing much better in phonics. He's become much faster doing his work, and doesn't need assistance as much as before.

Kyle had fun exercising at the park on Friday. He ran, he jumped, he played. All in all I'd say it was a fun day.

Devon has been getting much better in class. As I've said before, his writing, phonics, and math are all improving dramatically! Way to go Devon!

Hank has adjusted nicely to being in the Panda class. He's had no trouble catching up with math, reading or phonics.

Albert has been doing great on his classwork. However, he's been getting into trouble a lot recently for talking when he's supposed to be quiet. I've tried talking to him, and he knows what he's doing is wrong, but he just loves to talk to his friends. Albert's a very good boy, and I hate seeing him get into trouble. I really hope he can try harder to follow directions and not talk when he's not supposed to.

I'm always at a loss for words each week when it's time to write about Irene. Irene always does well in class. She's a model student. She's always well behaved, and she also does an excellent job with her classwork. Each week she makes steady improvements, and is constantly trying harder to do better.

Eason's behavior has been much better recently. He's been much quieter in class, and he seems to be listening and following directions better as well.

Benson did great this week. He's making tremendous improvements in reading. Way to go Benson!

Phil is doing well. He's talking a little more in class and working hard on his other work as well.
