Claire made a beautiful painting of a mermaid. She's really enjoyed painting and has done very well!!!








Devon has been very good this week. In art class he was excited to paint a red robot.











Albert has been doing much better writing and using his hands more. He did an especially good job on his painting!













Aston has been very well behaved recently. Not only has he been the 1st to finish his lunch all week, he's also been paying attention more in class and has really matured since last year. Good job Aston!











Bonnie did a wonderful job on her painting! She's very talented and always makes the most beautiful paintings and drawings!

August 21st

Pandas

Welcome to the first post of the Pandas! We've had a nice week so far...On Monday we practiced writing our ABC's and reviewed phonics, and in math class we did counting and basic addition. On Tuesday while Bonnie and Devon had Chinese class, Aston and Claire helped make peanut butter cookies. I think they really enjoyed going to the store and buying the ingredients, probably not as much as eating the cookies though! On Wednesday we did some reading and continued addition in math class.In the morning we played with playdough and in the afternoon we had art class....

Aston has been doing well in class. He's made improvements in math class and is able to pay attention much more than before!
Devon has made a lot of progress in math recently. He's shown tremendous improvements with both counting and addition. Good job Devon!
Bonnie did very well last week in phonics class. She knows all her begining phonic sounds and is slowly improving her reading as well!
Claire has also shown a lot of improvements with reading. She's always one of the first kids to volunteer to read and tries very hard to do a good job.
Albert....we missed you last week. I hope you had a nice vacation!

August 7th

Happy Father's Day!
It's been a quiet week at Tree House. We started the week reviewing begining and ending phonic sounds, as well as -at/-et phonic sounds. In math class we've been practicing counting in preperation for studying addition and subtraction. And finally, in art class we made something special for all the fathers....
Bonnie has been doing a wonderful job in class. I think she will excell this year and I look forward to seeing her progress!
Aston has been doing great as well. He's been making progress with counting and has also been paying attention much more in class. I think he still needs a little help with his ABC's and phonics though. Starting next week I'd like to give him some extra phonics work...
Claire has been doing great! She's been very well behaved this week and continues to show improvements. She's done especially well in phonics class!
It's great to see Devon back at school! I know Aston and Albert are both excited hes back; playtime is never the same with out him.

And finally...starting next week our new class name will be "The Pandas".
