Our Albert is back!!!
Hi Parents!
Great news, Albert is back!!! Our beloved Albert is back from Los Angeles. Everyone was so happy to see Albert and we are excited to meet his new baby brother 'Timothy.' Once again, Thank you to Albert for his generous presents for everyone!!!
They are amazing. They are counting objects up to 16. We also learned how to read a number line from 1 to 10. They filled in the blanks on the number line PERFECTLY!!! They also learned how to 'Connect the dots.'
In Phonics, we are on the letter 'Ww.' Our new vocabulary words this week were watch, web, window, wig (fake hair), watermelon, and wave.
Reading class is getting more challenging for them. We are learning how to read a new story, 'Get the tent.' The high frequency words that they keep seeing in the book are: get, what, we, one, two and three. The phonics skills that they stress in the story are: j, w and v. We're also learning a new group of phonograms, -et and -en. So far, they know -an, -ap, -at, -ig, -in, -it, -op and -ot.
Have a great weekend,
Teacher Leanne
