Dear Parents,

Well this week was a great one for the kids in the class. We all got a lot of work done and still had time for some fun. We are getting close to finishing our textbooks and they see that and are really working to get them done. We had P.E. class in the afternoons and song practice in the morning for graduation. We are covering long vowel sounds in the Phonics book. We are starting to do addition in math and they are all trying their best to do well. We finished the last reading book and I am so proud with all of the students on how well they worked and improved over this semester. Great reading guys!

We are getting down to crunch time for the Graduation Show and we will be practicing regularly until showtime. They all do very well with shows so I have no doubts they will do well on this one too.

Individual Comments:

Ethan: Great reading job this week but he's been a little slow with completing assignments.

Adam: We are working hard on getting his reading up to standard. Great in class performance.

Patrick: All around great job. Keep up the good work.

Terry: I am satisfied with his overall performance, he's doing a great job.

Rain: See you next week.

Theresa: She tried getting Ethan into trouble this week which is completely unacceptable.

Emily: We miss you, see you next week.

Erin: Good job this week, Keep up the steady performance.

Melissa: She needs to stop messing around during class time. She does do the work though.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and I'll see all of you bright and early Monday morning

Dear Parents,

It was steady as she goes this week for the students in the Wolf Pack. We are fast approaching the end of the semester and we are getting close to finishing all of the material. We started a new reading book and I have been doing individual readings with the kids so I can gauge who is on par and who needs more work. They are actually doing very well with it and I can see that they are working hard to improve. We are doing shape recognition in math and this is right up their alley for they have no trouble completing the work. We are just a few pages away in the Phonics book from finishing so keep up the good work. It has been quite hot recently so we've been having inside P.E. class. I have been doing different kinds of stretches with them and telling them of the importance of stretching before any form of exercise.

Individual Comments:

Adam: I think some extra reading at home would definitely benefit him. He's working hard but struggling a bit.

Ethan: I need for him to straighten up and do what he needs to do, come on little man you can perform better than this.

Patrick: Great job all around, keep up the good work young man!

Terry: His reading skills have really taken off and he's fast becoming the best reader in the class.

Rain: He is right up there in reading as well, behavior needs to improve though... I don't like repeating myself.

Emily: Great all around performance and I can see a definite improvement in reading as well.

Paige: She has come a long way in reading and I can see more of a confidence in her when she is reading.

Erin: She's speaking a lot more and I can see that she's getting the concepts more and more.

Theresa: She continues to improve and make progress. Keep up the good work.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll see all of you bright and early Monday morning.

Dear Parents,

Although it kind of feels like just one big long week due to the shortened weekend, the kids were actually quite work oriented and we were able to complete a lot of what we needed to do. They are getting so good in reading and it's this kind of success that makes me proud as a teacher. We are working with shapes in math class and they have no difficulty understanding the concepts. We are almost finished with our phonics books; we are about to wrap up vowels. We also did an art project this week.

The end of the semester is coming upon us and the graduation show will be soon approaching. We will be starting to practice our songs and dance for it so that should be nice break from the monotony of class. The students really enjoy show practice and I use that time to the fullest. It is my hope that they can give 100% to their practicing.

Individual Comments:

Ethan: I am not happy with his performance at all this week. Maybe a talk at home would be good.

Adam: Great job this week. Keep up the good work.

Patrick: Steady performance all week. Thanks, Patrick.

Rain: He did pretty good all week this week. Good in class performance.

Terry: I was happy with his performance this week. Nothing bad to report.

Joyce: Great work ethic this week. Keep up the good work.

Erin: She needs to stop talking at nap time! Good job in class.

Paige: Great all around performance this week. Keep it up Paige.

Melissa: She's doing quite well, trying things lately to see what will push my buttons though, I don't tolerate that.

Theresa: Great job Theresa, glad to have you back in class.

I hope everyone enjoys their FULL weekend, and stay dry for it should be a wet one.

Dear Parents,

This week was a LONG one for the kids. Due to the Dragon Boat festival we had to make up a day. We were actually able to get some good work done though and all of the students are really making progress in certain areas. I am very happy with how well their reading is progressing and I can see that they are getting the concept of sounding out the words. We started a new book this week and they all were able to read it the first time without seeing it before. I am very happy that they were able to do this. We completed a few pages out of the Phonics book as well and we are almost finished with our Social Studies book. Good job guys! We are finished with the money section of the Math book and they were all able to know how to distinguish between a penny, nickel, and a dime and how much of those each of them are worth. Again, I would hope that they can also get some practice at home with Taiwanese money as well for it will be more beneficial to them in the long run. Monthly reports go out this week.

Individual Comments:

Ethan: Great reading today my little friend! Good behavior as well.

Adam: I hope he feels better soon. We missed him in class.

Rain: He has been very good lately, him and Terry can continue to sit next to each other.

Terry: Like I said above, I am happy with his performance and they can continue to sit next to each other.

Patrick: We are learning how to tie shoelaces and some at home practice would be beneficial.

Joyce: She did very well in class this week. Very good in class discussions as well.

Emily: Great progress this week and I am happy with how well her reading is progressing.

Paige: Steady progress from her this week. Good job Paige.

Erin: She's talking a lot more and I can see that her English is improving.

Melissa: She's trying very hard in class and I can see that she does know quite a bit of English.

I hope everyone has a good Sunday for next Monday will be coming upon us very quickly. I'll see all of you back in class on Monday.
