Dear Parents,

This week was a short one for the kids in the Wolf Pack. We went to Da Jia park on Tuesday to watch the dragon boats practicing for this weekend. It's interesting to see how all of the members of the team really work as one to complete the race. It takes a lot of teamwork and coordination among all of the people and they definitely have my respect for all of that hard work. We also completed a pouch project with fragrant tea leaves. It was a little complicated for the kids to complete but they still were able to do as much as they could.

because this was a short week for us I will be continuing individual comments next week so be on the lookout for those. I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend and I'll see you all bright and early Monday morning.

Dear Parents,

This week was a productive one for the students. We covered some really good material in all subjects. They all worked really hard in class and I am more than satisfied with their progress. In Math we are still covering counting money and reviewing time. They are slowly starting to get the money thing but I think it would be a good idea if at home you could show your child how to count Taiwanese money as well... a bit more practical in my opinion. We did the letter Oo in phonics and the accompanying workbook pages. They are getting so good here! We also reviewed our reading book and they really are getting the hang of this reading thing, great job guys. In P.E. we went to the park and did some physical exercise activities with Teacher Sandy's class.

Next week will be a short one, yeah hoo! We will be going to the park to see the dragon boat races which should be a lot of fun. We are also making a craft for the holiday as well.

Individual Comments:

Ethan: He did quite well in class this week but was talking during nap time a few times.

Adam: Great all around job, I can see that he is trying to improve his reading.

Patrick: Very consistent this week and all of his work was extremely well done!

Terry: He has gotten A LOT better these past few weeks and I have reminded him of this.

Rain: I am not satisfied at all with his behavior. He really needs to learn what he needs to do!

Joyce: She's been like a new person since her sister started. Sometimes I have to double check to make sure it's Joyce

Theresa: Great steady performance from her, keep up the good work.

Erin: She's trying to talk more and I can see that she is making improvements here.

Emily: Great in class performance and her reading is starting to really improve. More confidence.

Paige: Her reading is improving as well, she's not afraid to sound out the words to try and figure them out.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and stays cool for it should be a burner out there. I'll see you all Bright and early Monday morning.

Dear Parents,

We were full steam ahead this week in the wolf pack. We got a lot of work done and had quite a bit of fun doing it. We covered some reading and for the most part they are all doing really good! I can see improvements here on a daily basis. We also did counting money in math class and i feel that this lesson is a little bit difficult for them because in the book they see American money and the kids have never seen it before and it's a completely different system than the one used here in Taiwan. They are getting it though, it would just be nice to use it in context with something else. We did the letter Oo in Phonics class and some workbook pages as well. We also did some arts and crafts this week as we made binoculars and the kids were really showing them off yesterday at go home time... they absolutely loved them!

Individual Comments:

Emily: She did very well this week in all classes and her reading is improving as well.

Paige: Her reading is getting better as well, I can see more confidence in her abilities.

Erin: She's speaking a lot more and I hope she can continue this pattern, she's making good improvements.

Theresa: The broken English is starting to get better, with practice it will only improve.

Joyce: I can't believe how outspoken Joyce has become, it's like night and day with her! Thank you Ellie!

Adam: I am not sure but his reading seems to be at a stand still right now, he's struggling a bit and I can see a lack of confidence in him.

Ethan: He was not what I would call a good student this week, I was not satisfied with his performance at all!

Patrick: Great all around performance from him this week and I can see that his reading skills are improving!

Rain: He had his not so good moments this week but overall I am satisfied with his performance.

Terry: Great reading in class this week and his behavior has really improved, one less for me to worry about.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and I'll see all of you bright and early Monday morning.

Dear Parents,

We covered a couple pages in the Math, Phonics, and Reading workbooks this week and also made a craft for Mother's day. The students were very good this week and I am happy with all of their progress. I am also happy with how well they all behaved as well, for the most part they were perfect little angels. We are starting counting money so I hope they really focus and pay attention to this lesson! We are still on vowels in Phonics and they are doing just fine.

Monthly reports went out this week so be on the lookout for individual comments next week. It should be a great weekend so get out there and do something fun. Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there!
