Dear Parents,

This week was a productive one. We had Math, Reading, Phonics and P.E. class and all of the students had smiles on their faces and laughter was in the air as we got down to business and got quite a bit of work done. We also had a Reading Contest this week as well and they all passed with flying colors but congratulations to the winners... Rain, Terry, Joyce, Adam! Great reading guys, and for the rest of you great job as well and keep up the good work.

Individual Comments:

Rain: He was well behaved and got down to work! Great job this week.

Terry: Less talking this week and he produced some good work as well. Feel better soon.

Ethan: His reading is really improving and I hope this can carry over to all aspects of his learning.

Patrick: Very good effort all around, keep up this kind of work ethic.

Adam: He is giving 100% to improving his reading and I can see that he really wants to succeed.

Emily: I would like to see her take a leadership role with helping Erin adjust to her new environment.

Joyce: Very good job with reading, she spoke up and read very well!

Theresa: I hope she can start to work on her reading skills. She's doing a great job helping Erin out.

Paige: She's producing great work lately and her reading is really coming along!

Erin: It's good to have her in class, I know there is an adjustment period but she seems to be doing very well with it.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll see all of you bright and early Monday morning.

Dear Parents,

This week was a productive one for the students in the class. We covered some material in the Phonics and Math books and we practiced individual readings to prepare for the reading competition next week. They are all practicing really hard for it and I have high hopes for them to do well with it. We also did P.E. class both at school and at the park this week. We have been doing afternoon stretching after nap time and I find that they all perform better now in the afternoon classes. We did a spring themed craft in the afternoon on Friday and all of the students are getting really creative and able to really explore art.

Individual comments:

Rain: He is good at school but I hear there have been some problems at home?

Adam: Thank you for trying your best this week. Keep up the good work young man!

Terry: He's talking way too much, I don't mind that he talks to his friends but he needs to get to work as well.

Ethan: He's trying harder this week and his reading is really coming along.

Patrick: Very steady performance from him this week and I am happy to report that he's picking up the reading nicely.

Paige: Very consistent performance from her this week. Great job.

Joyce: I can see that she's trying harder to speak out and she volunteered to read out loud in front of the class by herself this week.

Theresa: She's trying to be a good little helper in the class which is nice, I can always use an extra hand around the classroom.

Emily: Very consistent performance this week and I can see that she's giving it her all in reading class as well. Great job!

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and I'll see all of you bright and early Monday morning.

Dear Parents,

P.E. class was a blast this week. I have been working on obstacle courses with them to get their coordination and direction following skills up. Next week will be more of the same. They have done really well with it up to this point. Next month will be some basic basketball skills. Passing, dribbling, not being afraid of the ball. We got through a few pages in the Phonics, and Math books and covered more reading in the second book. They are all picking up on how to blend the phonetic sounds together and I have high hopes for the coming months.

If the weather permits then we will be doing more park P.E. classes so keep your fingers crossed. We will also be covering more of the same in all areas of English study. It is my plan to do a big Arts and Crafts day next week for springtime. The weather is getting warmer and spirits are up so this is a great time to bust out a fun craft that all of the kids can enjoy.

Individual Comments:

Ethan: He's been working on his focusing better this week and his reading is coming along.

Adam: Great job in reading and I am happy with how well he is progressing in the other areas study.

Rain: Great job with reading. Talking a bit too much with Terry though.

Terry: Again, talking too much with Rain and he needs to focus when it's class time.

Patrick: Great all around performance. Steady progress and his reading is starting to come along.

Emily: She's picking up the reading very quickly and I am happy to report only good things in the other areas of her learning progression.

Joyce: She's coming along... still too quiet though. Great job in reading class!

Theresa: It's great to have her in class and she's already started to buddy up with Paige!

Paige: Paige has kind of taken Theresa under her wing and I feel that they are becoming great friends.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll see all of you bright and early Monday morning.

Dear Parents,

We covered some good material this week in Reading, Phonics and Math class. In reading we started book two and I also worked closely with them on phonetic blends. They are picking it up quite nicely and I am happy with their progress. Keep it up. It is the letter "V" in Phonics and we did some writing practice to accompany the workbook. We also did a P.E. class on Monday and the students really enjoyed it quite a lot. We will be having a P.E. class once a week, weather permitting. I will be posting a schedule of the lessons for those classes throughout the semester so stay tuned.

This week is Monthly Report week so Individual comments will be posted next week so be on the lookout for those. We will also be doing some rainy day crafts next week for the kids to enjoy so I hope everyone can bring their creative thinking caps with them to class. We have slowed the schedule down a bit to allow more time for activities and games for the kids to enjoy, I think they are liking it and I look forward to continuing this trend.

I hope everyone enjoys their wet weekend as I am sure it will be difficult to get out and travel around so maybe this might be a good weekend for a game night at home with the family. I myself will be catching up on some work that I need to complete for a photography project I am working on so no rest for me. Good bye for now and I'll see all of you bright and early Monday morning.
