Dear Parents,

Well it's finally here... Chinese New Year. We have been counting down to the last day and all of the students are ready to kick back and have some fun over the holiday. I hope all of you have plans to get out there and do something special. I will be going to Tainan with my wife and her family. We will be having campfires and cook outs. Loads of fun!!!

We have been finalizing things this week in class to get everybody caught up and on the same page so that when we come back we will all be ready to start the new year. Like I said before, we will be really getting down to business next semester in reading class so it is my hope that they can really focus and be prepared to start to learn to read. On another note, due to progress reports being sent out this week there will be no individual comments. Please check back next semester when I will be starting those up again.

I will end this with a warm farewell and I hope that everyone will be spending the New Year with the ones you love. Thank you all for a wonderful year and I look forward to seeing all of you again real soon when the holiday break ends. Enjoy your week and I'll miss you all.

Dear Parents,

Well this year is coming to a close and we are all getting ready for the holiday break. I am very proud of how well all of them have done throughout this whole semester and I have high hopes for them in the coming one. I feel that they have all made great progress and I look forward to seeing what they will accomplish next year!

This week we got through some of the Phonics, Science, Social Studies and Math material. I was happy to see how efficiently they all worked. We also worked on our New Year's Dragons for Arts and Crafts class, they are all turning out great so keep up the good work and we should be finished next week and they will be able to take them home to show all of you.

Individual Comments:

Hank: I hope he starts feeling better soon so we can have him back in class!

Marcus: He was perfect this week! He is doing a good job at maintaining his friendships.

Adam: He was a little out of focus this week, I'm not sure what was going on but I could see that he wasn't fully there during work time.

Ethan: He produced a good amount of work and his attitude was great this week. I would like to see him work on his crafts a little more carefully though.

Patrick: The same goes for him, I need him to focus a little more on the task at hand during arts class.

Rain: He actually worked very hard this week and his dragon craft is really coming along.

Terry: He needs more confidence in making decisions and being self motivated to try... I think he's a bit afraid to make a mistake.

Paige: Great work this week and she's really being patient and doing her art project very well.

Emily: She really seemed to enjoy the field trip very much. I also appreciate all of your help on Tuesday as well, so thank you.

Joyce: She has been a little absent minded this week and I hope she can start to adjust the flightiness and focus a bit more.

I hope everyone had a great time on the field trip and I look forward to the next one, let's hope it will be as successful as this one was. Have a great weekend and I'll see all of you bright and early Monday morning.

Dear Parents,

Well this was a long one and next week as well as we make the push to New Year's. Due to the extra days off we have had to make up on Saturday two weeks in a row and I for one feel for the kids. We did get quite a lot done and this week was a very productive one. We covered a lesson in all of the subjects as well as the workbook writing pages as well. We got around to doing a New Year's themed craft as well, which was fun for the kids to complete.

Next week will also be a productive one I anticipate. If this week was any indication of how well they can produce work then I have full confidence that we will be ale to make some real progress before the end of the year. So keep up the good work guys and we will be right on schedule going into next year.

Individual Comments:

Hank: I know he has been feeling not well, I hope he starts to feel better soon. Good to see you back in class though

Ethan: Nice work this week, keep it up little man and good things will happen.

Marcus: He produced a great deal of work this week and he was right on par with his behavior as well.

Adam: Good job at focusing better this week. Keep up that kind of attitude.

Patrick: Very steady participation and he had a very high level of production this week. I am proud of how well he's doing.

Terry: I hope he feels better soon.

Rain: I am happy to report that he's done a lot better these past couple of weeks and there have been no big problems since that one outburst.

Paige: Thank you for being so helpful all of the time. Very positive attitude as well.

Emily: Great job at remaining independent this week. She's a real go getter and I'm proud of how well she's doing.

Joyce: She's actually speaking out a lot more recently and it's starting to to get to the point where I don't even need to prompt her.

I hope everyone enjoys their short weekend and stays dry and I'll see all of you bright and early Monday morning.
