Mr. B's Badgers

This week we reviewed letters T, S and B beginning sounds and deturmined which letters certain words started with. I taught the children a new song and dance which they love called "Stand Up For The Champions". You may have herd them sing it at home. We worked on our fall mobiles in Arts and Crafts and we reviewed our book, "I See Red, Green, Yellow". In Math class we did many logic excercises wich help the children follow instructions and differenciate shapes, colors and sizes for them to be categorized. In Science class, we talked about where different animals live and whether they live in hot dry places or cold places.

Leetrue is doing well in his phonics work and was able to finish his page before I went through it with the class. His writing is also improving.

Ryan missed quite a few classes, but hasn't skipped a beat. We still need to work more on his penmanship.

Jason has a bad habit of answering questions without thinking of the answer first. For example, if I ask 2 questions in a row to the class, and the answer was yes, if the 3rd answer is no, he will almost always answer yes again.

Christine's hand eye coordination has improoved. She was able to make her art project with very little help from me. She was able to put tape on a very small piece of string and tape it to a leaf and the stick.

Theresa is good at remembering the steps in making something. She did very well in our art project because she listened closely to the instructions and was able to follow them step-by-step. During play time however, Theresa has been told many times not to play in the classroom when there is no teacher around. She is suppose to play outside or in the playroom. I have told her many times but I still find her where she knows she is not suppose to be.
