Hello Parents

My first week with The Badgers was great! I spent lots of time getting to know the kids and earning their respect. They have quickly accepted me as their teacher and they are very fun to teach. This week as you know they went to the museum to visit the Pixar exhibit. You can ask them about what they saw there and what they liked. In phonics class we focused on the letter S and words that begin with that letter. In math class I made three dimensional objects they would have to try and imitate. It was a challenge for them and I will do other similar activities with them in the future. We read a book called, "Don't say that" and learned why it is better to use words to tell someone you don't like what they said and that it is not okay to hit someone. I renamed the class "The Badgers" and teach the children a little about this interesting animal. You can ask them what they remember about badgers.

Leetrue: Practice your pronunciation of the letter as and words with that letter in it. Practice using scissors and pencils.Practice writing the letter S

Ryan: You have been very brave this week. You will soon have so many new friends. Practive writing the letter S and using scissors.

August: Great work this week, try and follow the students that are well behaved instead of the ones that are misbehaving and you will continue to grow in all areas. Practice writing the letter S.

Jason: Review you phonics, especially beginning sounds. I will help you catch up. Practice writing the letter S.

Christine: Do not be afraid to fail. I will never get upset if you try. Practice writing the letter S.

Jae: Pracice writing the letter S. Try not to get distracted when doing your work. You could be able to finish more quickly and have more time to use the phonics computer.

Theresa: I hope you feel better soon. The Badgers miss you. :)
