Dear Parents,
I want to first thank you for attending last week's fun day. It was a great turn out and we raised a lot of money for a great cause. The students worked really hard on their projects and I think they also had fun in the process. We also started to prepare for our Christmas show this week and they are all doing very well with remembering what they need to do.
We have slowed down are schedule to prepare for our show so we covered a few pages in Math and Phonics. We did some arts and crafts centered around the Thanksgiving holiday. We also had a Thanksgiving lunch that was absolutely delicious... you all missed a wonderful meal!
Individual Comments:
Hank: He practices the show with such earnest and excitement, it's really great to see.
Ethan: He's gotten a lot better since his little outburst a while back. He's doing pretty well with his practicing.
Marcus: He's very focused and he's very willing to participate during practices. He's doing a great job.
Patrick: He got a bit frustrated with himself this week and got a little weepy but overall he's going very well.
Terry: He's been quite focused lately and I can see an improvement in his work.
Rain: I need him to pay attention to me a bit more and less on whatever else is going on around him.
Adam: Good job this week. I need for him to exert a little bit more effort on practicing the show though.
Paige: Great participation from her this week and I can see that she's trying her best to prepare for the show.
Emily: Way to stay focused and on the ball and I think she's already got down what she needs to say for the show.
Joyce: I think I can see the seeds of her wanting to speak out more... we'll see though.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and 'll see all of you bright and early Monday morning.

Dear Parents,
Well it's exhibition time and all of the students are finished with their projects and are ready to show off what they completed. Their artwork is cute for sure and I have a feeling you will be impressed with the results. We also went on a field trip this week to the interactive emergency evacuation center in BeiTou on Tuesday so the children could learn about proper MRT safety. What I liked about the center was that it was quite hands on allowing the students to become engaged in their learning about this important issue. There were some fire safety activities, evacuation drills for different areas of the MRT and a few games that reinforced these themes. All in all, it was a very fun yet productive outing and I hope more of these types of fiend trips can be made in the future.
Our in class activities consisted of the usual suspects, Math, Science, Phonics, and Social Studies. Because of the field trip and art week I just went through a couple of pages in each of the workbooks and we discussed previous themes from past weeks. Christmas is right around the corner so we are starting to prepare a few songs that the kids will be singing for the show next month. I want to do a couple of songs that the students and maybe yourselves haven't heard before just to keep things new and fresh so we'll see if you can recognize them.
Individual Comments:
Adam: As always it's steady as he goes. He is performing very well and he's got a smile on his face every single day!
Ethan: Ethan is slowly starting to get better from his little outbursts he had a few weeks back. Let's keep working on that.
Marcus: He's really funny, he always makes sure that the other students in the class are doing what they need to be doing.
Hank: Very steady performance from Hank this week and I am happy that he is having a great time doing it.
Terry: I hope he is feeling better and that the time off allowed him to get the rest he need to recover.
Patrick: He always makes sure that he is on top of his game in class and he is really self motivated during class time as well.
Rain: I need Rain to understand that he is new to the class and that he needs to take his lead from the other students in the class and be less of a distraction.
Paige: She was all smiles and giggles again this week. She really had a good time on the field trip as well.
Emily: Like Marcus she really prides herself in making sure she's doing what she needs to do and helping me make sure the other students are as well.
Joyce: It is like we talked about on Wednesday, I am slowly working with her on the day to day routines of the class and on her comfort level in order to break down her shyness to speak out. I have also engaged the other students in the class to start to ask her direct questions in the hope that she will answer them.
I hope everyone enjoys the art exhibition this week and whatever you get up to this weekend. I'll see all of you bright and early Monday morning.

Dear Parents,
This week was art week in the wolf pack. We are preparing for our art exhibition next week. Our project should be a good one, we painted these traditional paintings of cute old guys. I think you'll understand a little better of what I mean next week when we unveil them. I really think they did a great job with them and I hope you like them as much as they liked painting them.
Their in class performance was also very good. I hurt my neck again this week and all of the students understood that I was in some pain and they all tried their best to complete the work and do what they needed to do the first time. Needless to say they were all very attentive and understanding about my situation and I thank each and every one of them. We did a few pages out of the Phonics book and did a little bit of writing practice. I really feel they are getting better and their fine motor skills are definitely improving. We also did a few pages out of the Math book as well.
Individual Comments:
Hank: His handwriting is getting really good. His in class work is perfect. It was really good getting a chance to talk to you guys last week.
Ethan: I am sure the hitting thing will pass but like I said I will be on the lookout for that these couple of weeks.
Marcus: I am happy we were able to touch bases last week and he has been right on track since our conversation.
Patrick: Thank you for taking the time to come and and talk with me. I always enjoy meeting with the parents and discussing the progress of the students.
Terry: It's like I said in our meeting last week, he has done a great job this year in class and I expect more of the same from him in the months to come.
Rain: It's great to have him in class and I anticipate great things from him in the coming semester.
Adam: It was wonderful meeting with you last week. It's great when parents and teachers can get on the same page with the progress of the students.
Paige: She has been great this week since our conversation and I am so happy to see her smiling and laughing and having a great time every single day.
Joyce: It's good to have her join our group. I'm sure you are aware of her quietness but I feel with time and patience she will start to come out of her shell.
Emily: Thank you for being on the ball this week, I know I can trust she will be a big help to me on a daily basis.
I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and gets out there and does something fun. My family is visiting from America these couple of weeks so we are planning on going down south for the weekend... weather permitting of course.

Dear Parents,
This week was a fun one for the students in the wolf pack. We did a number of activities in our classes. We also completed a number of pages out of the workbooks in Math, Reading, Phonics and Science. We will be having Arts and Crafts on Thursday and the school has prepared some artwork for them to complete for the art exhibition coming up in a few weeks so be on the lookout for those.
It is great talking with all of you about your children. I enjoy connecting with all of you to touch bases on the progress of each student. So thanks for coming in and I hope some questions have been addressed and that you have a better idea of where your child's progress is.
Individual Comments:
Hank: He made steady progress throughout the week and his overall performance is excellent!
Adam: Great focus and desire to learn and he made some good improvements this week.
Ethan: Ethan was talking at nap time this week as well as speaking Chinese, I had to remind him of the first rule here at Tree House... NO CHINESE!
Marcus: He was talking at nap time this week. I appreciate that he was willing to admit it and move on.
Terry: He was talking at nap time this week and I had to talk to him about that but his in class performance was excellent.
Patrick: Great attitude and he is more than willing to give a great effort to his learning as well.
Paige: She's really speaking out lately and I can see that she is trying to do the best that she can every single day.
Emily: It's like I said before, she's doing very well in class and she's making real progress on a daily basis.
Joyce and Rain: Welcome to the class!
I hope everyone has a good weekend. I will be picking up my parents from the airport on Saturday for they will be here in Taiwan for a couple of weeks to celebrate my son's first birthday.
