Happy Halloween
Dear Parents,
It's Halloween time again and everyone is busy preparing for the event. We have a lot of activities planned and it should really be an action packed night for the kids. There will be pumpkin carving, face painting, and most importantly... the haunted house! They all have their costumes prepared and are really excited about showing off their scary... or cute... or cool ones.
I hope everyone saw the newspaper article this week. All of the students seemed really excited about being in the paper! I think the article turned out really nicely and they did a great job at advertising the haunted house and what the students are doing in arts and crafts class. The students and myself really had a blast doing it and I want to say thank you to Patrick's mom for helping to set that up! It was a great and wonderful gesture so thanks again.
Individual Comments:
Hank: He had a great learning attitude this week and he was really on the ball in all areas of learning.
Ethan: Much better performance this week and he didn't get out of line once. Keep it up.
Marcus: I am happy with how well he is progressing. I can see he is really learning a lot and enjoying his time as well.
Adam: Some attention problems this week but after a quick reminder he was right back on track.
Patrick: I think he really enjoyed doing the newspaper thing and he even took a great picture in the process.
Terry: He really seems excited and ready for Halloween. He mentions what he is going do be many times throughout the week.
Emily: I think she's going to enjoy being a penguin for Halloween. It's one of the cutest costumes I've seen in a longtime.
Paige: Great job this week in class and a wonderful attitude to go with it. She looks wonderful in her costume too.
I look forward to seeing all of you for the Halloween festivities and although I will be here all weekend I hope you guys get out and enjoy yours.

Dear Parents,
This week was a special one for the kids in the wolf pack. We had the opportunity to get interviewed with Apple newspaper. They came to see how we did a few of our Halloween crafts for them to photograph and they will then explain the steps we took in the article. So keep your eyes peeled next week when the article comes out.
In class all of the students were right on the ball all week! They really seemed to have a good time and they also did very well at completing the work out of the books. We played a few games in class and spent some extra time on phonics. In Science class we are covering different animals and where they live and we are compiling a book for each of them to draw and color the animals that they like.
Individual Comments:
Hank: Did very well this week and I can really start to see some leadership qualities in him lately. Keep it up!
Ethan: He got a little sidetracked this week and it would be nice if he were able to more consistently focus and stay on task.
Terry: Great job at doing the in class assignments and his attitude was also very good. He has a positive affect on the other students in the class.
Marcus: He was all smiles this week. He was laughing and laughing when we were doing our craft for the newspaper as well. I think he liked that the most!
Patrick: He was all smiles as well. He is really doing a great job and I am happy to see him giving such a great effort in class but also to him own personal development.
Adam: I know he was sick on Wednesday and I hope he is feeling better! As far as in class work goes he was absolutely perfect.
Paige: She has had a great learning attitude lately and I feel that because it's just she and Emily in the class they have their own little girls club!
Emily: She has had the best attitude lately and I can see that she comes to school every single day ready and willing to learn.
I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and gets out and does something fun and exciting. Get ready people the haunted house is just one week away so prepare to be scared!!!

Dear Parents,
This week was steady as she goes. We knuckled down and got some good work in. We completed a number of assignments from all of the lessons in class. They all really seemed to want to get down to business and try their best to improve. We also had quite a bit of fun as well. We did another Halloween themed craft this week and they also got the opportunity to take some pretty cool pictures for you guys to see. I think they all enjoy this very much! Halloween is quickly approaching and I hope everyone will be ready for a good scare through the haunted tree house maze.
Individual Comments:
Ethan: His behavior has improved and he's doing a good job on his in class performance as well. I would like to see him try and speed things p on written assignments though.
Adam: He has been a little emotional this week and it really didn't take much for him to start crying. I would like to see him try and explain his problems more and cry a little less.
Patrick: He needs to start understanding how to interact with his friends a little better. He's quite selfish at times and this can isolate him from the group. Great in class performance though.
Terry: Great job all around from Terry, he is making really good progress in all areas of his learning!
Marcus: He's gotten a lot better at the crying thing and it has been quite easy for him to speak out and explain what his problems are instead of just crying about it. His class work is excellent as well.
Hank: He's been getting into little arguments with some of the other boys in the class. I don't feel this is because he is trying to be mean but I do need for him to understand how to communicate with his friends a little better.
Emily: It's like we talked about at Chinese school; shes really starting to become teacher's little helper! She even smiled really well for photos today!!
Paige: She's smiling all the time and talking quite a bit lately. I am always happy to see a student come out of their shell. Her class work is wonderful as well.
I hope everyone has a great weekend; I will be here with the other staff to build and prepare for the haunted house that we will be having in a couple of weeks. So get out there and have some fun and I'll see you all back in the classroom bright and early Monday morning.

Dear Parents,
First and foremost, Happy Moon Festival Holiday! I hope everyone will have a great three day weekend... rain or shine. I myself am going to be watching American Football on my computer and making sure the little one is fed and played out.
In class this week we had some good fun as well as completed a fair bit of work. In Phonics class we covered more letters and their sounds and did a number of activities. We got a lot done in Math class as well as they were all prepared and ready to learn. We also had some good discussions in our Social Studies class and they got the workbook pages done as well. Arts and Crafts day we finished another Halloween themed craft and will be doing so all month.
Individual Comments:
Ethan: He improved his behavior from last week and I am happy he is doing better overall.
Adam: Very productive week for Adam as we was both well behaved and ready to learn! Great job this week.
Terry: He got into a bit of trouble this week and I hope he can concentrate more on the task at hand and less time on arguing with his friends.
Patrick: Very well done this week! I am glad to know I can count on him day in and day out to complete any given task.
Hank: He was arguing with his friends this week and I would like for him to do less of that and more on what he should be doing.
Marcus: Perfect participation from him this week. He completed all assignments and he really seemed to enjoy his time.
Paige: She has Really come out of her shell and is quite talkative lately. I am really excited to see her develop more and more each day.
Emily: Great attitude and participation. She's really starting to be teacher's little helper as well.
I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and stays dry. I'll see all of you bright and early Monday morning.

Dear Parents,
This week was steady as she goes. They all participated in class and were focused and ready to learn. In Math class we have been working with patterns and I can see that they all are starting to get the hang of it. We covered some more phonetic sounds in Phonics class and they are starting to catch on with that as well and I have confidence that by next semester they will all be reading very well. We are working on animals in Science class and we are going to doing a project with that theme in the coming weeks. On top of all of the work we have been doing we also have had some good fun as well with games and activities to reinforce the taught material. This month is Halloween month so all of our arts and crafts will be centered around this theme.
Individual Comments:
Hank: We was acting up a bit in class this week but after having a talk with him he calmed down and did a lot better. Happy birthday by the way, Hank!
Terry: Very focused and ready to learn this week. I was pleased with his performance all around.
Ethan: He has been lying to me recently... even though he knows how much that makes me angry. I need to see a turn around from him ASAP.
Adam: He has been really good lately and he really seems to be putting in a great effort all around!
Marcus: Steady progress was made this week and I can see that he is really starting to get the hang of how he should be on a daily basis.
Patrick: I am happy to report that he has really come out of his shell and started to talk quite a bit. He is also very helpful in the class.
Emily: Other than on Wednesday; her attitude was wonderful. I think maybe bringing her back in class wasn't the best idea... oh well, she did great when she got back in class though.
Paige: She has been very talkative this week and I really hope that this becomes a common occurrence.
I hope everyone enjoys the weekend and that the typhoon doesn't hit again so that you can get outside and have some fun.
