Dear Parents,

This week was just full of fun! Not only did we go to the department store but we also did some activities surrounding the outing. We also played a few games and I showed them my juggling ability... or lack there of... they laughed and had a good time watching me drop all of the balls.

I have been slowly starting to introduce some writing practice activities as well just to gauge where all of them are with their ability. They all are working really hard on this part but I can see it's a long road ahead for some of them. Anyway, we will be taking it slow with this and I have no doubts they will all do OK. In art we are continuing to keep the summer theme for one more week.

This is the last week of summer break so let's make the best of it and go out with a bang! Get out there this weekend and make the most of the time you have left this summer. I myself will be taking Cooper swimming and just relaxing with the family.

Dear Parents,

Well it was a very fun week in the class this week! We did an art project and they all seemed to both enjoy the process and like the final result. We used clear colored gel paper to make a window design that looks like stained glass. They all came out really cool and I was pleasantly surprised with how well they did on them!

We also did some story time as well. We did a group reading so I could assess how well they comprehend the material and all of them were more than willing to participate in the discussion after the story. It is wonderful to see students talking and willing to engage in conversation without hesitation.

It is my hope that the students in the class can continue with their positive attitudes and readiness to learn all throughout the school year. If they can I have no doubt that improvements will be made and that they will develop more into great students.

Dear Parents,

As you all probably know, I am Teacher Cory. I was the teacher for Hammerhead class last year and the level 3 Buxiban class in the afternoon as well. This year we start fresh and ready to go with new classes and teachers. It is always an exiting yet nervous time for me for I am never sure of what I'm stepping into with a new class. The good thing is that I know all of your kids and I have had the privilege to get to know all of them better throughout the previous year ... which makes the transition a little easier for everyone I guess.

All of the students in the class seem really geared up and ready to go. I can already tell this is going to be a great year for everyone. They all seem to really want to do well and get down to business! I expect great things from the throughout the school year!

I myself just got back from America and with visiting my family and it is taking me a bit to get back into the swing of things as far as work goes. It is great to be back in the classroom though and I am really looking forward to teaching all of your kids this year! So let's get out there and do the best we can and have a wonderful 200-2009 school year!!!

Week 1 - Happy Father's Day!

Dear Parents,

Hi, I'm Teacher Alice. I had the pleasure of teaching the former tiger cubs this week. We only had 4 students this week, so it has been rather quiet. However, I enjoyed spending some time with younger kids as I usually teach only buxiban classes. It was fun getting to know them better.

We started a new phonics book and practiced saying all the letters and their sounds. We also read a little of our reading book - I See Red, Blue, and Yellow. For math, we practiced counting with colored fish.

This Friday is Father's Day, so I'd like to wish all the fathers a very happy weekend with your families! Fathers often receive too little thanks and gratitude. You deserve a big THANK YOU for everything you do for your family. I hope you like the cards we made for you.
